Ben Bowler describes himself as a unity activist and spiritual entrepreneur, and his path bears that out.
Raised in Australia, he moved to Thailand in 2006 to volunteer along the Thai-Burma border, an experience that led him and his wife Jildou to found Blood Foundation two years later, supporting Burmese communities through interfaith and education work. From there his work expanded outward: Monk for a Month invited people into Thai temple life, Muslim for a Month opened the door to Turkish Sufism under the banner of Rumi, and World Weavers grew into a network of spiritual immersion journeys spanning Tibetan India, Nepal, Cambodia, and Ethiopia. In 2015 he launched 1GOD.com at the Parliament of the World’s Religions, built around uniting the world’s traditions while honoring their differences.
Bowler now serves as Executive Director of UNITY EARTH, a global network working at the intersection of spirituality, science, and the arts to build a worldwide movement for unity and peace, including through World UNITY Week and Peace Week. He speaks often about interspirituality, going beyond interfaith dialogue to include indigenous and contemplative traditions, and about the expansion of consciousness as a prerequisite for genuine peace.
