One Spirit Learning Alliance trains interfaith and interspiritual ministers, spiritual companions, and change-makers through programs rooted in the shared wisdom of all traditions — preparing spiritual leaders to serve a world in need of healing and connection.

Founded in 2001 by Rev. Diane Berke and Rev. Joyce Lichtenstein in the aftermath of September 11th, One Spirit Learning Alliance is a New York-based interspiritual education community whose vision is to inspire and advance the evolution of sacred consciousness in service to individuals, communities, and the earth. Rather than asking seekers to choose one tradition over another, One Spirit draws from the deep wells of all authentic wisdom paths — finding in their shared values of peace, compassion, interconnectedness, and love a foundation for spiritual leadership that is both rooted and radically open.

Their flagship Applied Interspirituality Program is a two-year training for those called to live their spirituality in service to others, with vocational pathways in seminary ordination, spiritual direction and companioning, sacred transitions doula training, and interspiritual leadership in organizations. A nine-month Interspiritual Foundations course serves as both an entry point and the connective tissue across all pathways. More than 1,500 graduates have emerged as ministers, counselors, chaplains, and change-makers, forming a growing community that brings the interspiritual vision into healthcare, education, social justice, and community life.

One Spirit’s commitment to antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion is woven into its curriculum and governance — understanding that spiritual evolution and social healing are not separate projects but the same one.
