Since 1996, the organization has worked in partnership with the Indigenous people of the Sacred Headwaters region of the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador to defend their land and culture on their terms. Pachamama Alliance bridges the modern world and Indigenous wisdom, recognizing that both have essential contributions to the transformation our world requires.
