Sociocracy For All (SoFA) is a membership organization empowering people worldwide to practice collaborative governance through sociocracy. With more than 200 members across several language groups and circles focused on topics like cooperatives, communities, and permaculture, SoFA offers the whole spectrum of training, coaching, and consulting—from foundational training to immersion programs, peer learning, and a one-year advanced program. The organization accomplishes its mission by spreading knowledge of sociocracy worldwide, curating an accessible knowledge base, supporting transformative training delivery, transforming organizations through sociocratic tools and principles, growing vibrant practitioner networks, and being an inspiring example of a sociocratic organization itself. SoFA holds pride in being approachable, genuine, non-competitive, and value-oriented.
Why It Matters: SoFA treats sociocracy not merely as an organizational technique but as a tool for making the world more beautiful—a social change mission committed to spreading collaborative governance globally so people can meet individual and collective needs equitably with respect for all living beings. By curating accessible knowledge, supporting peer learning, and growing practitioner networks rather than gatekeeping expertise, SoFA demonstrates that transformative governance practices must be widely shared to create systemic change. The commitment to being an inspiring example of a sociocratic organization ensures that SoFA embodies what it teaches, modeling that equitable, collaborative decision-making works in practice and can scale through genuine, approachable community-building.
