The Holy Journey

A four-part archetypal transformation series weaving teachings from world faiths with Jung’s Night-Sea Journey, Campbell’s Hero Journey, and Sufi mysticism—awakening sacred contract and higher purpose during this era of Divine Chaos, where personal spiritual growth serves collective transformation.

The Holy Journey is a four-part series led by Caroline Myss and Robert Ohotto taking participants on an archetypal journey of inner and outer transformation, focusing on perennial themes for springtime including Spring Equinox, Lent, Ramadan, Passover, and Eastertime. The Holy Journey is a personal transformation you are called to make to awaken a deeper understanding of your sacred contract and higher purpose—archetypal in that it follows a universal pattern where the protagonist must undergo a holy transformation, a metanoia, that changes how you see yourself, your psychology, and your capacity to empower your life. Caroline and Robert weave teachings and practices from world faiths with inspiration from Carl Jung’s Night-Sea Journey, Joseph Campbell’s Hero Journey, the Easter Journey, the four stages of Sufi mysticism, and more.

Why this matters: The world has entered an era of transformation—a death of normal where all that is familiar rapidly fades, which the teachers describe as our collective experience of Divine Chaos. This death of normal is happening because we are called to create a better way personally and collectively, and we can each participate by committing to our own spiritual growth and evolution. The teaching that “what is in one is in the whole” reminds us that everything we do matters to the whole of life, to everyone’s life—even the slightest good we do matters, now more than ever. By drawing on multiple faith traditions and archetypal frameworks, The Holy Journey provides a universal pattern for transformation accessible across spiritual backgrounds.
